Beach Theme Bedroom | Using Local Art For Your Coastal Bedroom

There is nothing better than finding an artist you adore that also captures the place you love or love to live. 😉 We have been fans of Brynn Casey Art for YEARS, so when we wanted to give our guest bedroom some local flavor, we immediately started scouring her pieces.  What we found was a myriad of coastal destinations captured perfectly.  We picked out two of her pieces that were inspired by our little stretch of coast and the inspiration for this coastal bedroom took off from there.

Costal Bedroom, Costal Decor, Serena and Lily Dupes

We wanted to add a pop of color into this space, while also keeping a southern, low country vibe and this side chair from Serena and Lily perfectly fit that task.  We get so many compliments on this chair, and I’m excited to link it below.  I’m also linking all of the furniture in this room from Pottery barn + including the original pieces that inspired this simple, modern look from Serena and Lily.

All of the fun textures really pulled this room together, and every time you enter it there is a subtle peace and calm to it.  The curtains are black out, to provide guests with the best sleeping experience possible, and we saved some quick cash on the bedspread by finding something from Pottery Barn Teen ( a tip we learned from another pro).  Jute will also be popular with me, and since it’s mainly under the bed, guests won’t mind the texture that comes with this chunky look.  When pulling your guest bedroom together, including some fun coast inspired photo books is a really great finishing touch, and I’m linking two of our favorites below.

Happy Designing!

Outdoor Furniture Made For Morning Coffee + Sunset Dinner

Outdoor spaces are everything to me. So, we built a home that completely focuses on inviting outdoor spaces for early morning coffee and sunset dinner with family and friends. Each space has taken on it’s own personality and has it’s own perks. So, I’m excited to highlight all of them. But, let’s start with the main floor first. This outdoor living space is just outside of the living / kitchen area. There is nothing between the interior and exterior but a sliding glass door that spans the length of the house. So, creating a space that flowed from the inside color wise was important to me.
